Purpose of the role
The Manager Strategic Alliances is focused on growing business through managing and developing existing channel partnerships and building new partnerships mainly in the Netherlands and across Europe
Key Responsibilities
Selectively prioritize, recruit, build and manage new business opportunities with current and new partners/ channels within Europe based on revenue opportunity, technical ability, and understanding their business model.
Coordinate the on boarding and implementation of new partners/ channels and work closely with their sales/technical/legal/risk and compliancy organization to understand the business and manage the relationship after launch
Develop and implement account strategies, forecasts & agreed sales opportunity plans for each channel to grow company market share and profit
Work closely with internal departments to provide and coordinate service and new product initiatives to the partners/ channels..
Identification, management, promotion and coordination of appropriate and available internal/external resources and knowledge in supporting the partners/ channels at all levels.
To set-up and further develop the Partnership Channel
Competencies
- Strong personality with proven thought-, sales- and channel strategy leadership skills
- Independent, result orientated, creative thinking, problem solving and hands-on mentality
- Genuine passion for the fast expanding eCommerce market
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with international executives
- Ability to articulate complex issues clearly to internal management, internal departments and partners/ channels
- Team player, motivates others through authentic thought leadership
Education and experience
- Minimum Masters degree
- At least 6 years of experience of delivering new business in for instance Telecommunication or IT-services
- Strong commercial background, proven sales ability including pricing, relationship building and management, consultative selling Proven ability to generate new business and effectively qualify opportunities by building strong relationships with partners/ channels
- Proven experience in leading the negotiation of complex contractual arrangements
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- Learning and knowing the dynamics and trends of the market segment and translating that knowledge into an effective, profitable partner/ channel strategy.
